This Privacy Policy explains how the Scan2Post mobile application (“the App”) handles data. The App scans QR codes and transmits scan payloads to a server endpoint configured by the user.

1) Data the App may transmit

Depending on user settings, the App may include the following fields in network requests:

Sent to user endpoint

Door / Gate Number (DoorNo)

Sent to user endpoint

Date / Time

Sent to user endpoint

Device Identifier (DeviceId)

Sent to user endpoint

Mode (Entry/Exit)

Sent to user endpoint

Endpoint URL

Controlled by user

2) What the developer collects

The developer of Scan2Post does not collect, store, sell, or share user data on developer-owned servers. The App does not include advertising trackers by default.

3) Local storage

The App may store configuration locally on the device (such as endpoint URL and operational settings). If offline queuing is enabled, scan payloads may be stored locally until successfully transmitted.

4) Security

You are responsible for securing your configured endpoint (HTTPS, authentication, access control, validation). We recommend using HTTPS whenever possible.

5) Endpoint owner responsibilities

If you configure an endpoint, you (or your organization) are responsible for how the endpoint processes, stores, and protects transmitted data and for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

6) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at: https://scan2post.eventmagix.net/privacy
